It was known by the reporter from the third session of the 15th executive committee of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions held on February 23 that in the face of the impact of the financial crisis, the trade unions of the Federation at all levels made great efforts to organize and carry out the “jointly appointed action”. Up to late 2009, there have been 631015 enterprises from 31 provinces (districts and cities) which conduct the “jointly appointed action”, covering the staff of 84.279 million, accounting for 45.6% of the total, consequently basically forming the good situation where no or few persons are cut and no or less salary is reduced in the enterprises with rewards being determined through consultation, and thus multiple and win-win positive effects are gained.

The “jointly appointed action” is an important move, which was put forward in the second session of the 15th executive commission held in late 2008 to cope with the international financial crisis so as to advocate that consultations and appointments shall be made on key and difficult points facing the interests of the staff and the production and operation by the management party and staff to get staff to help enterprises out of trouble and enterprises to struggle to guarantee the interests of the staff in a bid to form a good atmosphere where enterprises care for staff and in turn staff are concerned with the enterprises for the development of enterprises and the realization of the interests of staff.
