On the afternoon of September 8, the 2^nd Meeting of Guyana-China Joint Business Development Council was held by CCPIT in Xiamen. Vice-Chairman Yu Ping attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Mr. Gerald Gouveia, Chairman of the Council on the Guyana side, also President of  Roraima  Airlines, led over ten entrepreneurs to the meeting, while Chinese representatives come from China National Fisheries Corp., Huawei Technology Co., Ltd, Bosai Minerals Group Co., Ltd and other enterprises which have carried out important cooperation projects in the Caribbean area as well as in Guyana. The representatives talked freely at the meeting, exchanging ideas in a comprehensive way. Some of the enterprises arranged further talks and visits, forming initial cooperation intents.
